Three lakes, three characters —
pick by mood.
Wörthersee, Faaker See, and Ossiacher See are all in Carinthia, often just 20–30 minutes apart by car. But each lake feels different. Here’s what you should know.
Wörthersee —for atmosphere paddling.
Wörthersee is Carinthia’s stage: Velden’s promenade, grand villas, turquoise water between lakeside restaurants and ferries. It’s not quiet here — and that’s the appeal. Evening paddlers cross a small world of lights. Our station in Krumpendorf sits on the calmer northern shore, with a short path to the water and a boat ramp right next door.
From parking lot P4, it’s a short walk to Berthastraße. The Click&Paddle station is right at the lake access point.

Tip: The golden hour at Wörthersee is legendary. Book an evening hour, paddle toward Velden — you won’t forget it.
Faaker See —for quiet paddling.
Faaker See is the most peaceful of the three: motorboats are banned, only electric is allowed. That keeps the water crystal-clear and the experience hushed — even in high season. To the south, the Karawanken range stands like a postcard. Our station in Egg sits at the public Greenbeach of the city of Villach (the former Tschebull lido), with free lake access and changing rooms on site.
From the parking lot near Billa, walk about 400 m towards the lake. The station is clearly visible at the Greenbeach.

Tip: Early mornings before 9 a.m. the water here is often glass-still. Best time for beginners and photographers.
Ossiacher See —for wide-open paddling.
Ossiacher See is Carinthia’s third-largest lake: broad, long, perfect for extended tours. You don’t paddle bays here, you paddle distance. Our station on the southern shore in St. Andrä sits right at the free public lake bath, with changing rooms and WC included. Sunsets over the water are something special.
From the parking lot on Süduferstraße, cross the road — the St. Andrä lake bath is hard to miss. The station is right at the entrance.

Tip: A 2-hour rental is enough for a sunset tour. Plan your return for 30 minutes before sunset — the final light over the mountains is the reward.
